Every day, the firefighters of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District show up for our community, on the worst days and in quiet ways we rarely hear about. Each month, the Contra Costa Fire Foundation will feature one of them to share their story and say thank you.

Know someone who deserves it? Tell us about them. Colleagues, family, friends, and community members are all welcome to nominate. We’re looking for service, character, and teamwork, not just dramatic moments. The firefighter who mentors the new recruit or goes out of their way for a neighbor counts just as much.

This form takes about five minutes. Please don’t include patient information or private details from any specific call. We’ll reach out to confirm with your nominee before anything is shared publicly.
